Loan Processing Center out of Louisville, KY.

Got a call from them about a Refi tonight @ 7pm. Read SC....hoo boy. I now have a question for all you PayPal literate folks out there. I have a pay pal acct, but have no idea how to go about requesting payment if the girl calls me back with an approved fee.

Either way, even if she doesn't call back, how do I do this and what information would I need to have to give a SS or Title Co to be able to deposit funds to my Pay Pal acct? Thanks in advance.

On a BRIGHTER note, a lady from a large realtor firm came in my office earlier to have some personal things notarized. She asked if she could take my card, and I said certainly! She then asked if she could take a stack. Yes, ma'am....yes you may Smile

You can issue an invoice for services through PayPal. To pay you, all anyone needs is the email address you have on file for PayPal

You give them your email address.....that's it. Then you too will join the ranks of those keeping bad companies in business. Congrats.

Cute I think?

If I'm keeping them in business but they're meeting my fee and paying my fee, I fail to see the issue. If I were taking a lowball fee then I could understand the comment as stated. Perhaps I'm missing something. I r confuzzled. Frown

Thanks all for the Private Messages regarding how to proceed! I fired off an email requesting payment via credit card since I can take those over the phone. Wink

I've been forewarned that said email may instigate something on the board though. Meh. Business is business. I'm going for a popcorn run. Anyone need anything while I'm up? Smile

Nothing "cute" about it.

Nothing "cute" about it. JBA is encouraging you to think about this a little and look beyond whatever fee these losers (I just looked them up in SC; OMG! 2 stars?!?) are getting "approved" and all the hoops you are having to jump through to ensure payment. Instead of doing everything you can to keep them in business so they can continue to lo-ball and cheat other notaries, you could do your part to make their lives harder to find notaries and hopefully go out of business by flatly rejecting them. That about sums it up.

However, if it's any consolation, my observation is that most notaries are ignorant of what's out there, happy anybody called, eager to do any job for any fee, and unmindful of the sharks they're dealing with. The ONLY thing that matters is they get theirs and occasionally, like you, actually ask professional NR notaries how to do it! So JBA's idea is lost in a sea of notaries who can't see beyond the end of their nose. That's why LPS and hundreds of others stay in business year after year. There's always plenty of notaries swimming in the shark-infested waters. Or as you so accurately put it: "Business is business." Have fun on your popcorn run.

Re: Nothing "cute" about it.

Do you have any idea of what happens to a loan that the SS can not place? It's returned to the Escrow company so the can get another SS to do it at at better fee.

Re: Nothing "cute" about it.

I already got paid for this one, but thanks for the advice.
Business is indeed business which is why I made them pay first. Otherwise it would have been personal as I tried to collect from them.
Fortunately there's no hoops of flaming fire, and I get to enjoy my popcorn Smile

Anyone ever seen Office Space? Loved the Jump to Conclusions mat that guy invented at the end. Funny movie that one was! Wink

Wow!

But before you post again here, though, take a look at the top of the page where it reads:
"Serving Profesisonal Notaries Public Nationwide." With an emphasis on Professional.

Re:PayPal will refund their paymet if requested and you will

end up owing PayPal if you draw down the money. The low stars need to wire it to your bank - never got a taker on that regardless of the stars. They get very offended at the suggestion they pre-pay because of their poor record of paying on time.

Re: Re:PayPal will refund their paymet if requested and you will

That is an excellent, valid, and cogent statement, HSH. I appreciate that one. I was under the impression it was harder to retract money from someone's Pay Pal account. (Though I could completely be mistaken regarding this assumption.) Either way, thank you for a professional opinion. It is appreciated Smile

I'll wait and see what transpires in the next several days regarding a stop payment or rescinding of payment. The package was nice though (no extra junk in it) and the couple was a riot to talk with. Either way, case dismissed imo.

If I ruffled some feathers, I do apologize as that was not my intention. Unfortunately, just like no one should take anything from anyone else; that rule applies in reverse so that I don't take anything from anyone else. It's a tautology. We're here to share advice, as was mentioned earlier, in a professional fashion which is most appreciated. Then again, we can also laugh. I've learned that if you ever learn to laugh at yourself...you'll never be unamused. Wink

Love PayPal, have for years. Easy $$ return on sale

of purchased item once, and they send good statements.

You simply have them log on to PayPal and enter the email address you have associated with your PayPal account. Then they deposit money into it. You will see it almost immediately with a small service charge deducted. From there, you can transfer it to your checking account or just leave it there to have funds for purchasing other stuff. It's easy!

you send them a PayPal Invoice..under Merchant Services...

its simple and easy to use...I use these all the time for all my services since I require prepay for GNW and other work I do....

But you should have a Business account...different from Personal.

Take some time and check out the differences...

NOTARY BEWARE! This is not a reputable company to do business with. I did a signing for them on 11/20/12 and after constant pressuring - I finally got paid on 3/19/2013. This was only after I called Anthony's cell phone on a Saturday morning and left a message that "this was being reported to the AG and BBB as mortgage fraud." Anthony's # is 502-664-7536. He will definitely call you back. Emails direct to the company and phone calls to the company - go unanswered.
They are truly a company that needs to be put out of business. They wanted my checking account number, routing account number and then wanted to charge me a fee of $1.50. Then they also wanted to notify ne that they would withdraw funds from my account if there were any errors on the signing. I don't think so!
Heads up , guys. Move on - not worth the trouble.
