My thrill of the week.
So, I took this tax relief paperwork signing earlier this week, just because I had the free time (and they paid me very well for an 8 page doc.) Anyway, I ring the bell, Mrs. answers and we sit at the couch in the LR to do the signing, they say, we are going to read over this pretty well. I don't care because I have the time. In walks their friend - Snake skin boots, knee warmers like Sonny Bono wore, Paisley jacket, ring on every finger of his hands, turqoise jewlery arond his neck like Mr. T. I'm thinking, whoa somebody is sure stuck in the 60's. Well, Mr & Mrs. are looking at the docs when Mrs looks at me and says "looks like you probably grew up in the 60's. I admit my age, and she says, "Do you know who this guy is?" I say nope. It's Joe Kelley!! Lead guitarist from The Shadows of Knight!! For you young uns - G-L-O-R-I-A! He also played with Van Morrison. Well, MR & MRs are filing out the forms, and Joe and I had a great time talking about the 60's Joe - "If you remember the 60's, you didn't live thru them!"
Got his autograph - finest signing I ever had.

Thrill of the week? Heck, that would take me through a year and a half at least.
I will be singing "G L O R I A, GLORIA" for a good while, now.

Enjoyed this story and the link to the artist's music. I remember him and that song. I was born Easter '64. So, may have heard it, while young. But, only began to appreciate such music once sufficiently older, much later. Thanks for sharing...
