New rules for loans out will start 1/2014

Time to start looking for something else. Rules will cut loans big time.

And the world was supposed to end Dec. 21st and it didn't.

I'm independently poor so it doesn't make any difference to me.

These new rules will not affect me at all.

The new rules " ( http://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/201301_cfpb_ability-to-repay-factsheet.pdf ) ", will not affect the 40 + closings / Month I have been seeing in recent months. I don't see any of the loans I have been doing going away unless rates start to creep up slowing down the refinancing. Maybe some more documents added to the package, but that's it.

The Sky is falling, the sky is falling!

You have a really positive attitude! Not! Many of these issues have already been dealt with. The HARP loans will last for a while.

I agree, a lot of this

has been addressed and is in place. I currently don't see any predatory lending.

Ditto, Shoshana. The new "rules" for lending are already

in place--no interest only loans & no "no doc" loans. I've heard interest rates will stay loan for several years, and HARP isn't going away anytime soon.

have the decency to post a link to what the heck you're talking about?! GEEZ!

Re: Jim, you made my day! ROTHLMAO!

Not up on the latest acronyms. Does that mean
"Rolling on the head laughing my etc etc? or just poor typing. LOL
Speaking of LOL, heard about a grandma, who thought that she knew how to text.
She thought that LOL meant "lots of love."

Friend's hubby died and she texted "So Sorry to hear about Bill . LOL"
