Notarial Ack for E&O document
Well this is one for my history book. Did a signing a few days ago and the errors and omissions page had a line for a notary signature and expiration date but NO notarial wording. So I attached an acknowledgement to it. Today I get a call from SS and they said I did not stamp or sign the notary ack for that doc. They just emailed me the pages of the whole document stack and guess what, I had submitted the separate ack for the E&O and it was right there in the email pdf they sent me.
The staple marks and my full stamp and split page half stamp was all right there!!!! So now they are looking for what was lost by them and I have the proof that I did what I said I did as provided by them.
Now I am not going to name names but its nice when blame the notary backfires like this did.
Yes we all make mistakes, me included, but so do the folks at the receiving end of these docs too.
