Patriot Act Form

perhaps, I'm just tired.....struggling to figure out how to complete Patriot Act Form when all docs are being signed with a POA. Patriot Act Form is wanting borrower's identification info, and since, I will only have POA identification I'm not sure what to do with it. How do you handle this form when a POA is used?

Honestly? I call the hiring party.... because while I have an idea of how it might be handled, they might have some other way of doing it. From experience, and depending on the Escrow/Title company, the process seems to vary with the Attorney in Fact is signing. I've learned never to assume or forge ahead unless I'm very familiar with the lender/title/escrow procedures... and I really only have one that fits that bill.

thank you. Yes, I will call the escrow officer today and see how she wants to handle it. Just was wondering if anyone else had experience with this situation. signing is tonight.

I agree that you should ask hiring party--but when I have, I have been asked to correct name from the non-signing borrower to the person signing on their behalf.
