Have any of you tried an aftermarket drum unit? I just saw one online for 48.59. Thoughts?

Hi Carol,
I currently use three Brother printers and have always used after market drum units as well as toner. I have never had a problem drum units but once in a great while get a toner that might leak. I have even had a Brother toner leak on me so I am not sure that means much.

Try SuperMediaStore.com. You buy two toners they send you one for free. I got 8 toner cartridges (including the drum) for under $200. (Samsung and HP)
