frustrated
Can anyone tell me if other signers are using laserjet printers, all in ones... that only produce documents in black/white? just bought hp laserjet mf 1212 professional and wonder I ship it back if thats the norm or am I wasting more time with starting my business up with useless equipment or not. 5 years I have my best to be more than a notary, and this means the world to me. Want to avoid more disappoinments. Text me 661 3417349 email me [e-mail address].

Well, you need a laser printer for loan docs...
I use a Brother MFC - black and white. I have no use for color and my printer is designated for business use.
Hope this helps - not quite sure what the issue is - if you want to do the work you have to invest in the proper equipment to do it..

I know it is...without the emphasis it doesn't come out
right..how I meant it was "Well, you DO need a laser.."
That's why I said I wasn't sure what the issue was.

Hi. I'm just getting started. Can someone tell me why a laser print is needed instead of an inkjet?

all in one machines are not the appropriate machine for printing loan documents. I have two printers one is a brother it is a color laserjet NOT for printing loan documents but for all my other printing. I use an HP 4250 laseret printer with dual tray-its VERY fast and much better for printing. Just a note to all the Brother printer users out there Brother ink is VERY expensive and doesnt last -its how Brother stays in business-by going through ink quick-which there is a way to override the ink cartridges that I found on youtube...in this day every dime saved is needed...

"all in one machines are not the appropriate machine for printing loan documents."
Why not? My MFC prints 35ppm, is laser and supports a second lower paper tray if I so choose - why is that not appropriate?
I also get good deals on toner which give me adequate amounts for a good price.

all in one machine meaning fax, scanner, etc. My printer BOTH Brother and HP use toner. yes I also am quite savvy in getting good deals for my toner as brother ink as I stated and stand by is very expensive...I dont use my brother printer because it sucks up too much ink and in MY OPINION is VERY slow..my HP is the fastest I have seen and Ive worked with MANY printers in my day...i use ebay for alot of my toner purchases as I have seen on this forum some links for great prices BUT ebay has still been the cheapest for me..

Because I can't take my 5 in one outside of the house if I need a onsite printer for some type of work. This is why I have a carry around printer and laptop for special jobs. Otherwise, I love my 5 in one for normal work.

My Brother laser printer uses toner, not ink. The aftermarket products are available for good price to have great cost ratio to equal any other printer. If you shop around by reading here, you will find more places with great deals so that you too will find Brother more than adequate for your needs, in all aspects.

You know what, I lived and learned. At the time I purchased my printer I did not imagine I could routinely out produce it's recommended daily volume.
I was wrong and I am killing it slowly. I have had it about 2 months and it groans out its sad little death song every time I press print. I called in and was told it was simply too much for even the best home printer. I need a commercial printer.
I just pray this little guy hangs in there until next month.

I use my all-in-one for scanning and faxing. I do not use it for printing loan docs.

Home office or Home printers will not last for you, in a budget and I think most of us are now, get to Craiglist, I found 2 HP LaserJet 8000 printers below 150.00 yes needed a little cleaning and after a little service (90.00 for both) I got a couple of printers for heavy duty use that will last don't buy them if they are not working, also you can find toner at Amazon.com from some suppliers that is affordable I use Verbatim brand and is very good at about half price of HP,

My wife is a seasoned bargain hunter. My hp laserjet 1022n was had for $10 at a thrift store in the small town where I live. That's right, she found me a $10 printer. God, I love that woman. I added the page separator software since it's only a single tray. I figure it'll last me until I get an all-in-one if business starts picking up or a dual tray. At worst, it dies and turns into a $10 object my 6 year old son can practice his "mechanic" skills on rather than him wondering what's inside the blu-ray player as he clutches a screwdriver and hammer...

hahahahaha!
I can only hope that's the path he takes. He walks around the house with his tools all the time because I'm a carpenter by trade like my father before me. THAT'S the road I hope he does NOT take! My back still doesn't forgive me.
