slowest week in years for me

How is everyone else doing?

Slowish. I've turned down a lot just due to road conditions. Right after Christmas it started with snow. Which turned to ice. Then it snowed again. So that turned to ice on top of the ice. Then more snow. More ice. The road in front of my house is a solid sheet of ice, a good 3" thick. I figure come spring we will thaw out. Very unusual for us. We get the snow, etc., but it melts in between the storms. Not this winter. And right now going up into the mountains is even worse. I've had to tell a few companies that if they really need the signing done, the signers will need to come to me. Sometimes they take me up on it. But right now it just hasn't been worth me being out on the roads in these conditions. The major roads are doing good, but the inner, off the beaten path roads are very dangerous. I've got a big 4 wheel drive, but ice is ice. The storm that slammed us yesterday is now hitting the midwest. I feel for everyone in it's path right now.

It has been a slow start to the year for me to, only 9 last week and 13 this week. Next week looks t be picking up, I already have 12 scheduled. We got hit with freezing rain last night, rain today and snow tonight and tomorrow. I have one more closing today, if the docs get here in the next 15 minutes, otherwise I am tucking in and staying home and off the slippery roads for the rest of the weekend.

Pretty steady work here in Southern California so far this month. I never panic the first two weeks of the month because they tend to be a little slower.

Pretty good here. I have 7 today. The rest of the week has been pretty good as well. Sitting and waiting on one more set of docs, leaving here about 2 ish, then be home tonight around 9 or 10 . Started at 8 am.

Is it really possible to do 10 seperate Mobile's in a day?

I don't believe it. Too many things have to come together absolutely perfectly. There is no room for error, traffic, lender approval, tardy borrowers, travel, printing, etc.

I would not hire a Mobile who does 10 Mobile's a day.

I have done 14 mobile closings in one day - 1st one at 5:30 am, last one at 10 pm. It is a time & logistics thing, every company knew that I had to have docs the day before and that anything after 4 pm would not go out until the next day. Only one ended up being 15 minutes late, the rest went perfectly on-time. I can do a normal refi in about 30-45 minutes from arrival to completion. My normal day now is 3-7 closings per day and depending on how far way they are.

Then you'd be making a mistake, grapebed...

because when an NSA is REALLY good at this, they have the savvy, experience, and people skills to be ABLE to do that many in a day, on those rare situations when it occurs. Those are the NSAs you DO want to hire, and obviously, many companies do, especially for EOM.

I did 9 on 12/18 and 10 on 12/26. You start early and finish late, but it's really not that difficult. I sure wouldn't want to do all that many every day, but you take what the hot iron gives you at end of month/year, and do what you're good at.

I haven't forgotten the dry spell not that long ago, when 10 in a month looked good...

Wow 10 a day...that is amazing!!! I call myself busy if I get 2-3 a day! I have an excellent rating but I never get hired for that many! Now that's making some good money!

Re: Then you'd be making a mistake, grapebed...

I am with you Roger. I have done 10 in a day...Not normally, and not 10 of my high paying clients....Way, way too difficult to pull those together...But a smattering of Vendor management orders, some good paying special clients, luck, jobs close to each other, and a long, long day makes it achievable....I could easily do 10 Quicken loans every day...but my regional title companies, with a million affs, splitting packages, copying, scanning and uploading, and a lot of follow up...Nah...That is what makes diversity in our signing database worthwhile...And, I too remember Roger the days when I would call myself to make sure my cell phone was still working!

Re: Is it really possible to do 10 seperate Mobile's in a day?

Ive done 15 in one day at EOM and it took me 2 days to recover. I have a great system and I get most of my signings done in 30 mins or less. But only one of two days out of the month do I do that extreme. Most days I average 4 signings a day and at EOM I now do no more than 8 a day.
