Anyone in California do business with notary near you.
I did a closing for them in Redding and I think there going to try and cheat me out of my fee, maybe not but the way it sounded made me think she was laying the groundwork not to pay me. I did the closing about 35 days ago and was promised to be paid within 30 days and no check and a bad attitude from the owner.

Do yourself a favor & learn to use Signing Central. Read
the comments posted by other notaries as well as the star rating. There are lot of bad reports on that co. There's not point in working & then have to worry if you're going to be paid or not.

Agree!
Owner Jacque has been an accomplished slow-pay, no-pay artist for years, as far as I know. You may have to threaten to take her to small claims court to get paid; there are many excellent collection letters posted here - just do an orange button search.

P.
There is a possibility if you keep hammering away at her, she may eventually pay. But you have to decide how much time and effort you want to spend on "playing nice." As to Jacque's "bad attitude," that's the only kind she has; and any promises she made to pay in 30 days are worth the paper they're written on.

P.S. Woops, posted too soon!
Should be: are NOT worth the paper .....
actually, her promises *may be* worth the paper they're written on ... and not a cent more! LOL
Anyway, I'd just promptly get medieval on her you know what and keep your fingers crossed... and of course, never work for her again.

Inform Jacque that you intend to contact the title/escrow company for the file you signed to let them know of non payment. May affect her relationship with that client.
Then, collection letter, then small claims court.

Sounds like a company doing business as "SOX." Always check SC before you agree to a signing.

<<<Always check SC before you agree to a signing.>>>
If you're not near a computer to check and you're out running errands when you accept the signing, definitely check SC and use the orange search button BEFORE printing docs. Don't print docs until you've checked. If reviews are bad, call and email to give the job back. Otherwise, you'll be working for freee!!
