Attorney State - Georgia
I'm a notary agent in Kansas and moving to Georgia but know that it's an Attorney state. Will that affect my notary signing business to the extent that I won't get any work??

Yep, unless you're an attorney, you can't do loan signings..
at least, not legally.

I have done them in FL for GA properties, but have to have the attorney on the phone for certain portions of the closing.

Your post prompted me to ask something I've wondered about occasionally: How can GA impose its rules on loans and loan closings when the signing is done out of state? It would never occur to me that I had to know about or observe GA real estate rules or TX witness rules, etc. as a CA notary.... So how did you know?

The instructions are to call the attorney at the start of the signing. My experience has been that they talk a bit to the B, tell 'em to call if they have any questions 'during' and call at the end.

That's for out of state signings on GA property
But any signings taking place in GA cannot be done by a notary - they must be conducted by an attorney - telephone presence does not satisfy the attorney requirements.
