Brother MFC-9970CDW

Hi Everyone:

Does anyone here have the above referenced printer? When I print envelopes it always seems to crinkle or make the glue on the envelope stick becuase of the heat the laser printer generates. I've tried changing the print options to other thin paper which helps slightly. I was just curious if there are any other options other with the same printer or even a brother printer may suggest. Other than this minor problem I generally love the printer.

Thanks in advance for any information you may provide! :-)

I'm guessing that most of us don't use our printers to print on envelopes, which is why you haven't gotten any responses. Did you try calling the Brother hotline or using Google to find answers?

I found this in one review for this printer model, so it sounds like it is a common issue and you may be out of luck:

2. Useless with envelopes. It flattens, crinkles and - worst of all - SEALS them. So they've got to be pried open immediately after printing, which is a hassle. And they look terrible and totally unprofessional.
