Need info on college loan funding
Been on computer for the past two days trying to info for my daughter in law since she has exhausted all her student loan options. Then I figured I would reach out to fellow notaries. The dilemma is she is in her last yr. and needs $7000. She tried with a co-signer but due to my son lost his job during the great downfall two yrs ago their cr. is defunk. He is back to work but lenders as WF, Sallie Mae, don't look at the cause. Does anyone know a lending agency who works with these situation?

Has she asked the college to workout a payment plan? I know many colleges nowadays have several payment options. If she can put a down payment/upfront cost and pay either weekly or monthly what you can workout.
I'm still in school and its very hard to get private funding plus the rates are astronomical.

Thank you for your response, she has tried the payment plan but its very high. I am sorry if I offended the person by not entering in Leisure. I was not aware of such, I was reaching out to fellow notaries, who understand the frustration of making a living but need help and direction.

Not offended at all, and I understood why you were asking.
It's just that we try to keep other topics in Leisure.

Do you or another family member own property?
You might be able to qualify for an equity loan or a line of credit, based upon the equity that you have in your home, if you own it? If not or a family member or relative cannot help either, I'd ask the school that she's attending if they can extend credit to her or defer her tuition/expenses. This is just off the top of my head. There are other options, too. But, I have to go now. Good luck.
