Outlook --
A few months ago, my hotmail email was changed to Outlook. Okay, I rolled with it. I was still able to receive and send email. I was also able to have my various hotmail addresses linked so I could switch from one to another with one click -- didn't have to logout of one and login to another.
Well, as of a few days ago, my hotmail addresses are no longer linked. The "link accounts" page no longer exists (at least for me it doesn't). I'm having to logout of one and login in to another each time I need to access the other e-dress. Anyone else going through this? Were you able to resolve it?
Yes, I also have a gmail address. However, that's not what I use for my notary business. Maybe it's time I bite the bullet and change everything over to gmail .........
Any help is greatly appreciated! TIA!

Outlook Hotmail is through MSN, totally different than Office Outlook. I have both and have had no problems with the Hotmail changeover.

The original version of Outlook is just one software program included in the Microsoft Office suite of software products (along with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) I think it's very confusing that they decided to call their online email tool by the same name. I haven't seen it (I use the Outlook that is part of MS Office), so I have no idea about the similarities or differences, but I think it's bound to raise confusion.

From the signon page ...
"Microsoft account" is the new name for what used to be called a "Windows Live ID." Your Microsoft account is the combination of an email address and a password that you use to sign in to services like Hotmail, Messenger, SkyDrive, Windows Phone, Xbox LIVE, or Outlook.com. If you use an email address and password to sign in to these or other services, you already have a Microsoft account—but you can also sign up for a new one at any time.
Over time, all Microsoft services will be switching from the old name to the new one. You might continue to see mentions of "Windows Live ID" instead of "Microsoft account" for a while—for example, on xbox.com or windowsphone.com—but the names mean the same thing, and the services will be updated soon.

Microsoft annouced recently that linking Outlook accounts was to be disabled. This has occurrred, as you have noticed.
There is nothing wrong with your ID or accounts. Microsoft no longer allows the feature you are trying to use.

I was able to speak with someone at Microsoft. They sent me a couple of links to resolve my issue --- so they said. The links were to the things I'd already tried. Called back. They can't help.
Thank you all for your input. Guess I'll just have to deal with this for now and eventually move everything over to gmail.
