PDF to word
I have converted a PDF application to a word document but I cannot file in the information. I think the word file thinks it is a picture. Anyone know how to get around this? The only thing I can think of is to print it out and fill it in by hand and I would rather not have to do this.

Probably the blind leading the blind here, but if you need to fill in a PDF form you can click over on the right side to 'add text'.

Short of acquiring additional software, I don't think you have any option except to fill in by hand.

Actually, some PDF forms are formatted to be filled in and printed. Usually, the filled in form does not allow for saving in that completed stage. Example of this is the W-9 in the IRS website.

I do the same: "fill in and print" using the text editor.
But like Yoli said, not all formats will let you save once done. My adobe x has a pdf to word software build-in you can use - but there's a fee.
I've tried other pdf edit software that is free (google).
