Pacific Document Signing finally paid after 75 days, $5

short but better than the big fat Zero I was expecting. Will not work for them again. Gave them 1 star in SC.

Providing the $5 was not a deduction for notary error

I'd take them to court for that $5 - make that $5 cost them $250 after court costs, filing fees, interest, etc etc. Would also name title company in small claims action so title now knows their SS shorts the notary on the fee

I spend money and empty my wallet/checking account quite quickly and nicely on my own - I don't need help being broke....I would not tolerate this.

You should have read all the 1 and 2 star reviews...

...before you accepted the job. I'd say that $5 is a very cheap lesson.

Someone posted a 4-star comment on 6/26. It always

frustrates me that some just don't get that these cos. only continue to stay in business because they can get someone to take the work. ;-(

I saw that. I would have looked at all the other comments and weighed my options. Overall, it has a 2 1/2 start rating.

Re: I'd worked for them before and all was fine so I took

the job based on history and did not look to see that their ratings were on a down slide until the payment problem came up. No surprise but no one wants to get involved with getting us paid, especially if they have already been paid. We are on our own and it becomes partly a question of how much more good time to through into trying to get paid. I hope by mentioning their name on this forum some other NSA will avoid working for them and avoid the grief.

Have to have a good record 1st before any "down slide"

... can happen. In both SC and on the board (via "search"), this company has earned a certain reputation since 2007.

"No surprise but no one wants to get involved with getting us paid, especially if they have already been paid. We are on our own..."

Welcome to the world of being either self employed or a small business owner! That is why you should preform your own due diligence prior to accepting signings. You've been in business and reading/posting here long enough to know this; I have no idea why you would be surprised that as a self employed person, you are "own your own".

Glad you finally got paid what you did and seemed to have learned a lesson regarding using SC and searching the board. If it were me, I'd take a serious look at Linda's advice.
