Profile + HTML question

I have noticed some profiles have paragraphs, bullet points and logo's inserted in NR profiles.
For some reason I can only get one continues paragraph. Doesn't allow spaces between paragraphs or bullet points, nothing. Only one big long paragraph. Is there a secret that I don't know? Have tried the search button on this subject but to no avail. Thanks for any answers to my mystery in advance :-)
