SOS my 11th Commission Renewal~NR ROCKS!

I called the CA SOS yesterday to verify my renewal was in process. Yes, said the SOS technician, it will be mailed to you on August 1, 2013. My commission expires September 1, 2013. I took the CPS exam on February 13, 2013, and I'm glad I did because it did take 90 plus days to process, as they said it would and they don't act on it until 30 days before expiration of current commission.

I always hold my breath as one year I didn't hear they lost my passport photo until well into the process, only because I called them, then my commission for some strange reason didn't arrive for three weeks, then I sent to Tracy Shoemaker and that took 10 days to get to Iowa in the regular USPS. I was sweating beebees for days. But she made it happen on August 31. I got my seal and bond, etc. the very day before expiration of old commission.

NR ROCKS!

Congrats! I've never had to go through that process and

thankfully never will. I'd be sweating bullets under that timeframe

My state isn't 90 days, more like 90 seconds.

It takes around 90 seconds to get a notary commission in Vermont, if you already have the form filled out when you arrive at the county clerk's counter.
