ServiceLink corporate headquarters
Just found out they're moving August 12th from Coraopolis, PA to Moon Township, PA.
I've noticed a slow-down in calls from them to me for signings since about the time I read here on NotRot that SL's merging with LSI. Anyone else having less calls from ServiceLink?
If ServiceLink is adopting the LSI platform, that would explain it for me. LSI doesn't call me anymore as they have quite a few notaries in my area (greater Sacramento area) who will work for under $100 per signing. In my previous service area (San Francisco-East Bay Area), LSI had no problem meeting my fees. If we all stood our ground, we'd ALL get a living fee.

I'm unsure what a living fee is, but
I am sure that Sacramento has a bit higher cost of living then small town Washington. Having said that I would rather live in small town Washington, then Sacramento, it's just not green enough for me in Sacramento.
As for Servicelink vs. LSI, I was dropped by Servicelink for being too expensive, yet LSI pays me more than Servicelink ever did. Also I occasionally do Servicelink work that has been farmed out by Servicelink to a SS, and I make more from that, then I charged Servicelink.
So I guess just like we always say location, location, location matters.

interested in more feedback regarding SL vs. LSI. The current slowdown is giving me time for admin activities But I'm beginning to wonder . . .
As refi market dries up, compliance affairs must be tightening up. I've made several attempts at forwarding personal (commission) docs to SL but haven't been cleared - with the major holdup being my "illegible" DL. OK 2 tries. Was also informed that they needed an "unexpired" commission; uh . . . still Very active. So I resend Everything and still not "clear" enough. Are they seeing what I'm seeing or am I missing something?? Nothing's been whitened out (I know many don't like to send with their info). So I figure a phone call is in order. Then . . .

I received a message from you that you needed my email. Please just reply back.
Me: No, the msg. was Not that I "needed your email." This has been the mode of communication for several weeks now. Obviously, it is not working as it should. Please feel free to give me a phone call at your convenience. Thank you.
I'm thinking, wow, if the "courtship" is this rocky, what will a "marriage" be like??

Re: Used to give me a lot of business until I
adjusted my fee to reflect all the fax back packages. I could not charge up front for fax backs because the schedulers never seem to know if there are any. So instead of emailing and requesting a fee increase for fax backs on nearly every package, I just increased the fee assuming fax backs. Bad move, now I get about 1/4 of the signings as I used to get. In my area there are plenty of NSAs that will take $75 inc edocs. As things slow down - competition will get even harder.
