Do 'Search' (orange) on "Collections," "non paying," "lowballers" etc.
Lots of advice posted on this topic in last few weeks

Check your state's Small Claims regulations..
It varies by state and, in some states, varies by county. Here in Florida we can bring a claim in Small Claims Court where the loss was incurred. You need to check your state's jurisdictional procedures.
Also, did you sign any documents in a signup package with this company where you agreed that jurisdiction would be wherever they said it would be? Hopefully not.

Generally, you file where you reside. Now, having said that, Linda's also correct in asking if you signed something deferring any claims to their locale. While it is arguable whether or not you can still file where you reside irrelevant of what you signed, I'm not going to go out on the offering legal advice limb. My main questions are these: Why do you feel they won't pay? Are they past their stated payment period? Is this company on SC so that it could be researched prior to acceptance of the job?
