Has anyone upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7?

According to the link you can do this without backing up. Wondering if anyone has done it? Any input appreciated!

I did it... but it was like.... 4 years ago. I can't remember what I did.

Out of curiosity, why are you just now doing this?

I made that transition by buying a new laptop. I'm not a techie person, either, and I'd heard too many stories of people having problems when trying to change the operating system of a particular laptop. Every time a new version of an OS comes out, the newer one uses tons more memory and lots more processing power. It will depend greatly on your pc, but you need to be sure you have lots of RAM, and enough processing power to handle the increased demand.

BTW, I made the upgrade for multiple reasons, needing more of all of the above, and decided that new equipment was the right thing for me. Doesn't mean it's the right decision for everyone, but I love the replacement!

Why is Carol just doing this now? She lays in the sun on the beach, surfs and swims all day and her brain is fried

Your first mistake is using Vista.
Get rid of that & all problems solved!
