I have a new policy......:)
I don't mind taking my shoes off in your house....but, you need to make sure when I sit down at your kitchen table I'm not stepping in cold, soggy Cheerios!

Oh boy, bathing my toes in cold, soggy Cheerios is my idea of a GOOD time, for sure!!
Having little ones around makes life real interesting (never a dull moment); and when the "little ones" are furry and four-footed even more so
I sat at borrowers' table recently and the Entire cloth was literally covered in cat hair (I could never eat there); one of them even climbed up on the table while I was there to say 'hello.'
Last week I was at a much cleaner & upscale residence and they mentioned "the boys" and I thought they meant their kids. Turns out the boys were the beautiful cats living there - and they were most certainly NOT on the furniture (let alone the kitchen table). Of course, they were probably doing what all kids do: showing off for "company."

Bring a pair of slippers with you. When I am asked to remove my shoes, I advise that I will be putting slippers on. Works every time. And, I had a closing with 3 indoor cats that did the same. I am allergic. 90 degrees, humid, no windows open, no a/c. Yuk. Couldn't wait to get out to catch some fresh air.
