I'm just wondering

How many of you have spent $50 for the page separator program and how it works and how well it works.

Did you know there is a free page separator program here?

Works great. Check under "RESOURCES"

Re: Did you know there is a free page separator program here?

I have two laser printers and could load one with letter and the other with legal and print the two sizes simultaneously. Cool beans!!!

yes but i can't figure out how to use it for docs that I download because I don't save them to my harddrive. I don't want the docs in my computer forever

Re: The free NR program is good but (to my knowledge)

does not merge files so if you get a bunch of down loads for one loan you need to do each separately on NR but Page Separator will merge them before separating them. Worth the money. I went for the middle program because I don't want to take the time putting the file back in its original order - especially if there are fax backs. Hope this helps.

Re: The free NR program is good but (to my knowledge)

now how is it going to merge them if I have to load letter size paper in the printer and legal size paper for the legal size ones? I can't have both sizes in my printer at the same time.

Re: The free NR program is good but (to my knowledge)

I believe you print one size, then remove that paper and load in the other size paper then print. If you have two printers, you can load one printer with letter and the other with legal, then print both at the same time. I hope you have two printers anyway....in case one goes down. I have an all-in-one laser printer (Brother MFC 9420CN) and a single, mono laser printer (Brother HL 2140).

yes I have two printers but that wont integrate the letter size paper in between the legal size paper as it is printing.

Best program Ive ever bought and downloaded for this industry. Totally worth the investment, and I do not need an internet connection to make it work either. I use mine daily.

Re: Either program sorts into letter/legal before you ever

print. Then you print each in turn. Page Separator will allow you to merge several downloads for a loan before it separates into letter/legal. With the NR program you have to separate each down load separately - no merge function. I only have one single drawer printer, so I switch the paper as needed doing all the letter size for both copies and then the legal. Hopefully that clarifies things for you. You can certainly get by on the NR program if you want to save the bucks.

I LOVE page separator!

I bought the Pro version because once in a while, do get specific instructions to separate AND put them in the correct order.

This is why I love it:

1. I don't need to separate each pdf file into legal and letter, one at a time, like on the free version.

2. I love that I don't have to "upload" each pdf file, but I can just "drag-and-drop". Much faster.

3. Super easy: just drag-and-drop, then hit the one "merge and separate button".

4. It is very fast: it depends on the speed of your computer, not the speed of your internet connection. I talking SECONDS.

5. Like someone else said, if I get a lot of pdfs for one job, it saves me time having the program merge them for me into one big lump and only having to print once, as opposed to printing many individual-paged pdfs. You don't HAVE to separate them, you can just merge them if you like.

6. Saving the docs are easy. I have a filed that I named "borrower's docs" and I name the file with the last name and the date, so I never have duplicates. Example: Smith 06-22-13

7. It saves on paper costs. If a job has a significant amount of letter pages, I save money by not using ALL my legal paper.

8. Switching out the paper in one tray from letter to legal takes just a couple of seconds.

9. It's WAY cheaper than buying a double-tray printer or two printers. It doesn't take any room on the desk, like bigger or more printers would do.

10. If you HAVE to put the papers back in order, it is as quick and easy to do as counting the pages.

I wish I had bought it YEARS ago.
