Printer died on me

Well not really but it started printing black sheets then paper jam and now it won't even print at all. Had to run out to get a back up printer until I can drop this dual tray printer off. Ugh!!! Still on track though. I only had one dual tray printer. Now I'm going to buy another one. Saw on Craigslist an HP 4200DTN. Not sure on it since I've never owned an HP but geez on the toner price.

I dislike this back up printer. It prints about 25 ppm...ugh so slow!!

Isn't that a sign of needing a new drum?

The first year I was commissioned, I learned the hard way not to have only one laser printer. Someone on this board has 4 or 5 printers. It's nice to be able to print the signing and borrrower loan doc copies simultaneously.

I had 4 printers for years but traded them all in to buy my dual tray. I have an MFC but it prints do slow. Was no way I'm going to allow it to print loan packages.

I have 3 dual tray printers

The 3rd on I got for $150 a few years ago from a notary getting out of the business.
When you can afford it you need 2 dual tray printers and the next one I am going to buy is a
"smart printer" where I can print from the Brother App.

I want to get rid of using a computer at all and all just use my IPad and not deal with computer viruses.

Re: 7460DN

D= duplex N= network (cable) IMHO this series is not of enough horsepower for our business. It w/b more of a personal machine. I would only recommend an MFC at the 8xxx level and add a second or"lower tray" or get an HL 8xxx series printer, as in HL8xxxDWT ( D= duplex which is not necessary for us, W= wireless, some like this feature, and T= lower or second 250 or 500 sheet tray.
