Sunday signing and no docs yet

Has anyone had a signing scheduled for Sunday and actually received the docs on Sunday? I am a little worried. This is a NO contact borrower deal. I sent out an email inquiring on status. Anyone with an encouraging Sunday story?

No, but I have a suggestion.

Call your borrower, explain you have no docs and not sure you are getting them. Ask if they have heard anything. It just might be that they know it has been rescheduled, put off for another time, or have direct link to their LO and get more info that you may have unavailable to you. In any case, you and the BO are on the same page at least. Ask for their cell phone number in case they decide to have different plans, and leave yours with them.

I would not make the trip though - and I would call everyone I could then go about my business.

I would NOT accept a no contact signing

for a Sunday - and my stipulation on accepting these assignments is "yes, as long as I have docs by Saturday (or Friday if you know they're not open on Saturday)."

If this is the company I think it is (and there's only one company I know that has this No Contact instruction) you can get authorization directly from the lender to contact the borrowers as soon as they've reviewed the HUD with them. They let you know when it's okay to contact. In return with them, I let them know that until I get that okay I will not print so if that okay is delayed, so will the signing be delayed.

I would make contact with anyone and everyone at the company associated with this loan and let them know your predicament. Keep documented that you've tried to get docs.

To answer your question, yes, I had a Sunday signing a couple months ago - had the docs Saturday afternoon - got my fee with no problem, no print issues, no handholding, signing smooth as silk, paid in less than 2 weeks.

Good luck

Does your confirmation have a contact phone number

for LO or someone at lender? They can probably get a hold of someone at TC.

I'm guessing this is for MIC. If so, the number I have for them is 800-891-6678. If you leave a message for them, be sure to reference the order number.

Re: Does your confirmation have a contact phone number

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't tie myself into knots trying to get docs. I send an email and call, and then if I don't have docs shortly before the appointment, I send another email or call "Since no documents have been received, I am considering this appointment cancelled. Please contact me when everyone is ready to sign so we can reschedule."

Thank you for the suggestions. I did not have a contact number for borrower and hiring party was not answering the phone but, lucky for me the LO called me asking if I could meet earlier than scheduled per BO request, I said sure if I had the docs... poof, they were emailed to me a minute later. I think someone forgot to send them out before they left for the day Fri/Sat.

From now on I will require a contact number for borrower for weekend signings.

Also has a reverse # & address search.
