$1 million in E&O?

I was just emailed blindly and asked how much my fee would be for a refi in Beverly Hills, but they needed me to have $1 million in E&O.

Does anyone have that much in E&O??

Oh, I'm sure you can buy it, but do people actually have that much? I thought I was getting a pretty good amount with $100,000.

E&O question

When we are hired by a SS, are we automatically covered under their E&O policy? If we are independent contractors and not employees and are covered why do they make the requirement that we have our own policy? Has anyone ever been asked to have in writing from the insurance company a subrogation clause specifically naming them?
