In case it is needed for overflow information the lender deems necessary.

Just in case.

Re: Oh. Tnx!

When taking a test it means you didn't miss a question, which could cause you to fail a test if you didn't answer the question. This happened to a lot of people taking the CPA exam many years ago before computerized testing.

Total number of pages hardcoded ..

I see this all the time on federal and some state forms, particularly loan applications and HUD-1s.
Say, Page 1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4, 4 of 4. It is a 4-page form whether you need all pages or not; no way to eliminate a page because the "x of x" can only be changed by the original programmer with security access.

Law firms will use "this section intentionally blank" on the "last page" to format a document so that the signature and notarization block will fall on the same page or to leave room for multiple signatures with notarization on separate pages (say signing in different law offices or states, allowing the out-of-state notary plenty of room to modify or add a state specific notarization block).

Way of showing in the future, "don't panic, nothing is missing or removed." Imagine a QC and title panic if a form states Page 1 of 4 and the only receive 3 paqes because the last page is blank (which 50% of my time it is). Smile
