e-notaries.net LOW Lowballers

Just got an e-mail from them, claiming to have a closing in my area. Here's a highlight of their introduction to me:

"The signing is a refinance for $70 and it will be sent as an e-doc. We require a portion of the loan documents to be faxed back prior to shipment."

(Please print, drive 75 miles RT, then fax half the paperwork back to us, then make sure they get sent out in tonight's ship for just the Low, Low Price of $70!!!!)

Do they think we are all independently wealthy and can afford to do these for free?

Unfortunately, there WILL be some moron that will do that exact signing. Normal notaries will not accept such offers, but there will be SOMEONE that will actually do it.

The latest thing is that some of these so-called "notary signing agents" will NOT read the instructions included in the signing package, not properly bill (if one is needed) will not confirm timely, will not return the docs right away, and will definitely screw up the signing (missing stamps, missing dates, missing signatures).

THEN they will get on Signing Central and put out a one star comment about how the company won't pay. This is in the middle of dozens of four and five star ratings. You can always pick out the idiot. (I actually have to send an invoice to get paid? - Well, yeah if you accept their terms and accept the signing. Try waking up.)

Interestingly, NNA has a survey out now asking about collections and if you use a collection agency. Duhhh, you don't need a collection agency if you don't work for scumbag companies. That's what Signing Central was designed for - but instead these dimwits work for anyone that calls them on the telephone and then they later get on this Forum and moan and groan about not being paid. Again, you can always pick out the idiot.

My e-mail, in addition to the $70.00 fee and fax backs also asked for "3 professional references with agencies you worked for within the past 90 days, background screening, notary commission, proof of E&O insurance, and e-doc capabilities".

I think they're just fishing for info with those "3 professional references with agencies" and they won't get mine. Delete button got rid of their e-mail.

Sounds like the call I received this week asking that I do a refi with faxbacks. Lowball price and there were 150+ pages to the docs which = 300+ pages to print. I turned back this assignment and told them to take me off their contact list. Enough of these people !!!
