incorrect vesting
I hardly ever do signings on a Sunday but I had one today. I printed the docs yesterday ( Saturday ) and in the docs was a grant deed and a dot executed in 2006. I don't know why in the world they included those docs in the package but they did.
In checking the docs for correct printing ( sometimes my printer prints in Russian half way through ) I noticed that the vesting in the grant deed of 2006 had John Public and Jane Q. Public. The docs and the new DOT had the vesting as John Q. Public and Jane Public. They had his middle initial instead of hers. I called Ss and told him what I found and he said he would call title as they were working on Saturday and let them know and call me back. I told him that if he didn't call me back that I would go ahead and do the signing. He never called back so I did the signing.
I don't think anyone would have found this but I'll bet someone typed it wrong. It would seem to me that this would have to be fixed, if so they can pay me again.

Between 2006 and 2013, that could have already been dealt with. I wouldn't have concerned myself with it.

A refi DOT won't change the vesting. It's still a good catch and you brought it to their attention.

Re: incorrect vesting---This is what I do...may help you
I make a copy of the DOT. I carry a copy machine in my car. Then I send in a "way they sent it and a corrected way I think it should be" DOT. That way Title has choices. Then I never have to go back. Hope that helps. justme
