Addition to leadership at Mortgage Docs

MortgageDocs, one of the nation's premier notary and attorney signing service companies, has recently strengthened their executive team. The Orange County company hired Stephen Muller as their Chief Financial Officer and Jeff Garner as their Director of Business Development. These appointments are part of a repositioning of the Company following an investment from Newport Investment Associates (NIA) in 2012.

Does this mean they will start paying better fees than $50 to $95? Cuz if not, well, it won't matter who's at the helm.

Why are you "pimping" a company with such low ratings in Signing Central?

They have some of the worst ratings to be found on that area of NotRot.

Shame on you Linda_in_MI

My apologies to Linda/MI

Now that I am made aware her intentions were to share info, I sincerely apologize. I did not garner that from her initial post and immediately jumped to the incorrect conclusion.

Sorry, Linda.

This pimping promo for a bottom-feeding signing service ...

... submitted by a notary who is, per her profile, no longer accepting assignmnts.

Guess what she's doing nowadays?

What is the definition of pimping and pandering? What is pandering anyway? In CA you can lose your commission for pimping and pandering.

Regardless ...

of Linda in Mi's motivation, she posted a link to a press release that revealed a lot of verrry interesting info about how a scumbag SS like MortgageDocs operates. Reading it, two things become very clear: Stephen and Jeff (a former MLB player) will be making a lot of $$$, and no, Cheryl, they will not be paying notaries more ... if anything, even less.

However, they appear to be doing just fine getting plenty of bonehead signers to work for them despite their terrible rating in SC.

Re: Regardless ... thank you Goldgirl

No hidden agenda from me in posting the link. Again, I no longer accept assignments from this SS. Didn't meet my fee, among other things. My only intent was that the press release and the information it it would be of interest to some.

POSTING MEANT AS NEWS FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOT KNOW

This posting was meant as announcing news that happened to show in in a email filter I have. I thought the news would be accepted for what it is--news on what is going on in the profession. So much for that. I guess I should have put a disclaimer on the original post regarding that intent. Me personally? I no longer accept assignments from Mortgage Docs.

And for what it is worth--not that it is anyone's business--I am still a notary commissioned in the state of Michigan and still working as a notary. I am in the process of moving to another state as a result of my husband's job and I thought posting the statement on my profile was the best and quickest way to avoid issues with people finding me through NR, contacting me, and then having to refuse NEW assignments.

Was Hoping That This Childish Behavior Has Changed, but.....

I stopped reading these boards for a very long time because there is so much childish behavior here. It saddens me to see that the name calling, finger pointing, and blaming is still here. It'sjust so easy to get beaten up here. I've NEVER been a part of any professional forum with so much pettiness. I'm a true believer that if you run your business in a way which keep your clients coming back and you provide Grade A Work, it doesn't matter what anyone else is doing.

Well, the end result of your post and this thread for me, Linda, is that no matter who they put in charge, famous or infamous, I'll certainly remember not to accept work from them because they now will have to pay these guys the big $$$ and that means even less for those of us out there with the expertise, overhead, knowledge and professionalism as they live their high lifestyles.

Instafi in Costa Mesa stands out as a prime example. Remember Sean Roberts and his gang? They all drove MBZ, BMWs, lived on Spyglass Hill, belonged to the CCs, had all the recreational drugs they wanted and stiffed everyone, appraisers, notaries, escrow, landlord, and employees, who came to work one day to find a big chain across the double door handles. Closed down tighter than a drum.

Thanks, but no thanks...I hope they're reading this thread.

It crosses the line from informational to advertising when..

... a post states that the addition of two individuals "has recently strengthened their executive team."

If this was not intended to be promotional, and apparently it was not, then my apologies to Lindaand, and especially my apologies for jumping to a hasty conclusion about her involvement. It would have been helpful if she had noted that she was simply passing on an announcement regarding a company that most of us regard as a pariah in the industry.

Re: It crosses the line from informational to advertising when..

HisHughness... maybe you should actually read what she wrote??? She literally just quoted the press release. There were no side comments advocating anything in her post. Why are people so jumpy on these threads?
