EOM --- jeeeeezzzzzzzz!

Accepted a signing last Friday for a signing today at 1:00 - hour's drive away. Docs were to be ready Friday night or Saturday at latest. Guess what? No docs on Friday. However, I was assured they were working on Saturday and would have them to me on Saturday. Saturday late afternoon, I'm advised still not ready. Let them know I need them latest 8:00 am Monday as I have to leave at 9:00 for another app't. in opposite direction. 8:15 no docs. I turn it back. Frown

Get a call at 10:45 today for a 5:30 signing closer to me. Hurrah!! All's not lost. Call borrowers to confirm. Son says to call back as his father is getting clarification on fees from Title. I call back and appointment is confirmed. 3 hours later and still waiting for docs, I inquire. TC informs today's signing is canceled as they have to re-disclose. Will call me in a few days to re-schedule. That's 2 down .... Frown

Good thing I got 1 done this morning. Wink Must've turned down at least 8 low-ballers last week for today. Well, at least I'm not wasting my resources on them.

My appts. are stuck up in snow country - or no docs

and.....................................argh!

It is just always something during the rushes. I really prefer a slow, steady month to this happenstance.

I hear you...

I got a call from one...4 stars on SC...last Tuesday for today at 5 p.m., first time working for them, but they met my fee right out of the gate. It got cancelled at 10 a.m. this morning. When I called to let the borrower know, he informed me that another notary was doing it at 5 p.m. and he was confused. When I called hiring party back and asked if they had shopped it, they admitted to it. Needless to say I was mad as he!!, and will note it on SC. HATE that they had a prime spot blocked while they were still shopping the signing.

Re: I hear you...

To my knowledge this as not happened to me. I can assure you if it does not only will post it in SC, I will post who they are right here in caps. IMO they deserve to be exposed for all to see.

Re: I hear you...

Name them so we can all turn them down... I've got a few that I won't take signings from for various reasons, but if I do catch one doing that it'll be the the last time I speak to them...

Re: I hear you...

If they ever call you back, take the job; then several hours before the signing turn it back, saying you got a better offer for that time slot.

LOL!

Yes crazy day for sure, Walt will be happy as I see he asked about a couple that I could not help today and had 3 companies call multiple times to see if any appointments cancelled today. Snow has let up nothing sticking to the roads and had all my docs for all loans by 9am this morning.

Very Smooth EOM and I am booked solid Tuesday and Wednesday and a couple on Thursday. If nothing cancels I am set for the rest of the week and taking Friday off for holiday weekend.

if you would post them here, we'll all know who to look out for. I don't check SS prior to accepting--I do as soon as possible afterwards so Ill know what to expect from folks I haven't worked for before. AND the company may notice that we notaries don't appreciate dirty tricks. We are independent contractors, but we stick together!

Same here! Lots of calls and no time left. Docs showed up for all except for one - the same ss (over and over with no docs) and No Docs, no call , no email and no return call! I will not take another from them!

Who are they??? Help us out. We do not need to block out time for these types of SS, or TC. Time to clean these irresponsible out of our system.
