E-Signings

I have been getting calls to do E-Signings. Has anyone else been getting these calls?

I recently had a conversation with a local lending company owner who was wondering why e-signings aren't available. The legislature passed the law to allow them last year, but I didn't know what to tell her. I know there is a cost factor for the equipment and software, which is why I didn't jump on it, and why she isn't offering it in her office.

But based on her comment, could this be something to get ready for?

Get ready for? E-signings have been around for

several years now. Do a search here and they've been discussed in depth, including equipment needed, cost factor ... you can even get an idea of the regional popularity of them by who posts and who's doing them and where.

I have done a lot of e-signings. Not too many recently. I guess they may be realizing that it isn't a money saver. I suspect that most NSA's charge more to do them. I sure do.

How much more as a percentage do you charge? Is it because of the extra time involved or because you need to bring a computer and have service that you charge extra?

Can these be done on an IPAD or is a laptop required?
