Poked around on the internet and DL criteria varies from state to state and are in a constant state of flux. Some states have magnetic strips or thumbprints---and some states are considering retina scans or microchips--which would be well beyond our capability, not to mention our authority. Where do WE draw the line--now--in the future? Then there's also the overlap to consider--last year's DL may be different than this year's or next year's improvement. What might happen if you erroneously reject a perfectly valid ID?

exactly....between the personal safety issue and legal liability if (as my husband calls it)..."my magic decoder ring" is wrong.....big Pandora's box of trouble.....
