Printing Docs.

When did Notaries have to start printing docs vs having them shipped to you?
And what did you charge then.

Been at this for 20 years. The first time I was asked if I had a laser printer and could print docs and I said 'yes, can do'--they DOUBLED the fee--so $85 became $170. That didn't last very long, but $50 was 'standard' for a good many years. Never had any faxbacks either. Keep this in mind the next time somebody offers $95 w/edocs.

Saw edocs in isolated instances as early as 2002 and charged an extra $25 for them then....

I started independently in 1999. So edocs for me was in 1998-1999. I remember because I got married in 2000. So to finance my wedding I started doing closings a year or 2 before my wedding.

I have only had a set of documents sent to me. All of them are to be printed.
