Servicelink Email re. size of emails
hmmm..what constitutes an email size of greater than 25MB?
Dear Valued Vendor,
Effective March 20th, 2013 ServiceLink will no longer be accepting or sending emails with a total size greater than 25MB.
ServiceLink has adopted a 25MB email size limit to improve mail flow and increase our security stance reducing our exposure to potential threats.
All emails greater than the 25MB limit will be rejected triggering a message back to the sender communicating that the message has not been accepted.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please contact your ServiceLink Representative immediately.
As always, we look forward to continued success in 2013.
Sincerely,
ServiceLink Vendor Management

sounds like they switched to comcast! which limits all email
to 25 MB, including the actual email text AND any attachments. This applies all comcast accounts, including business class. If files are scanned as an image, at a high resolution, and not compressed, they can easily exceed 25MB. ( I found this out the hard way, when I wasn't getting some attachments).

I have comcast and they don't allow over 12mb here!
but I can appreciate their limiting size. it just isn't necessary to send a package of that size. I can send 100 pages at 300 dpi and its 5-6mb. how often would one need to email them anything larger? large files definitely bog down the server. JMO

Lots of ISPs limit messages to 10MB, but they don't tell you that, you have to ask. It's a major pain sometimes.
