Still flu season here ...
had a signing scheduled yesterday morning. One of those do not call borrowers. Well, by the time I got docs, lender was closed and number listed on 1003 was no longer in service. Proceeded to signing as appointed. Co-borrower came close to front door and said she was very sick with flu and probably contagious and didn't want me catching it and to please have lender call her to re-schedule. Thanked her profusely for her consideration.

And ALL of that could have been prevented if you had been able to contact borrower in advance. All the wasted printed paper, the wasted gas, your wasted time, wear and tear on your equipment. Another good reason why I won't proceed without confirming. The bright side is you will not get sick. That's a plus.

Yeah, Linda, this was my first ever "do not call" signing - and, last - and look what happened! I will say, however, SS is paying $60 print & trip fee.

That was nice. I usually have the borrower sick as a dog snotting at the table. Can't wait to leave to disinfect my pens.

I was at a closing last night where I was trying to hide the residual effects of my cold. I had been sick several days, fever, sore throat, pain-wrenching headache - and couldn't turn down anymore signings this month (of course, I WAS feeling much better).
I got up to grab tissues in my coat. The borrower was nice and went to get me a box of tissues! I will definitely be asking borrowers during confirmation if they are well.

Also keep a small bottle of santizer or lysol wipes in the car. I always drink Alka-Seltzer plus day and night with lots of water to flush out. You will feel better in two days.
Get well soon!
