The Closer LLC, Charlotte, NC

While in my 6:00 signing yesterday, got a call from them for "a few docs" this morning. Told them I could accommodate but would have to call them back for particulars when done with my appointment. I called at 6:45 and was put on hold by their phone system. Hung up and consulted SC.

Wow! Glad I did! A lot of poor reviews and some good ones. The bad outweigh the good.

Tried calling them back to let them know I would not be taking the assignment. System put me on hold again. After a few minutes, hung up and figured they'd get the clue. No further communication. Guess they figured it out.

My question is: How can they be SO good in some people's eyes and then SO bad in others? The good reviews aren't even in NC, so it's not them giving themselves positive ratings (at least as far as I can see). Totally bizarre!

Ive done a couple for them. Im familiar with the Title company they use and the docs are pretty simple and easy. Not alot. However, I only take them when they meet my fee which is once in a blue moon. They prefer to work in the $75-90 range. According to my records they pay within 30-45 days.

Haven't missed anything, Yoli. Kinda hit and miss company. Always, let me see if I can get that approved...always a fire drill.

Here in Chicago (and suburbs) i get a ton of work from them. Same packages and easy to work thru. Pays less than 30 days. Many times they'll pay a tad more than $100. I can't really complain.

Just the schedulers are from some other country and i have to treat them with easy gloves. Can't explain much to them.

Henry,
Saw your post, I am i Arlington Hts. I also went thru the Notary2Pro course. I finished in Dec but did not really start marketing myself until end of January. I was due to go on Federal Jury duty so held off. I have two friends that have been doing this for 3 years one in NY the there in UT. They have been good mentors.

Things started slowly as expected only 4 jobs EOM in Feb, 8 jobs EOM this month with call backs from two companies.

How long have you been doing this? Won't ask for for recco's on signing services since we are in the same market. But anyone you would suggest I avoid would be appreciated,

Just wanted to introduce myself.

Things change. This is a good co., starting paying their

"preferred" notaries a higher fee, pay every 30 days, etc. I think they're trying to overcome their negative image in SC. I've done quite a bit of work for them.

I thought their regular fee was $90 and their "preferred" notaries got $95..

If that's the case...that's good?

Re: Things change. This is a good co., starting paying their

It's run with Pablo; formerly of Now closings. I have never had a problem with them, however they outsource their appt. setters so you have to be tolerant with them. They do pay about $5.00 less per closing, but okay as long as I can get the volume. If the package is large, distance too far or excessive faxbacks, they will meet your price.

No, they pay me considerably more than that, almost

equal to signing directly with tc. Obviously, I'm not going to give a #, but it was a pleasant surprise to get a raise I didn't even ask for. ;-)
