Wow. Some heavy stuff. Can you say some of that

stuff like "noticeably intoxicated" about someone. That is pretty deflamatory.

How would someone "prove" something like that? At best, without them seeing her drinking, it is only an opinion that was stated as fact by that particular poster.

Precisely.... My point exactly....

The whole site is childish. Not something a business owner should be doing. However it is harmful. If they did not do a good job really just don't use them again. This is insane. It's out there now. Can it even be removed?

That's it. I'm giving up hard drugs and booze...can't get away with a thing these days.

So, uh, Jeffrey, I hope your shorts are clean, cuz if they aren't we're sure to find out about it.

And Signing Stream. Wow, pretty harsh. I think you're doing yourself a horrible disservice to your clients and to notaries. Wow. You're definitely a 1 star service in my book. I will make sure I never work for the likes of anyone who posts on your site! Extremely unprofessional!

As well she should ... for several reasons.

Re: Cari's gonna have a cow when she sees that...

LOL, I agree Linda! No doubts there and Im sure she will set them straight.......

So, I went to the website. Funny how they are putting little things on there that could happen to anyone even people who work at a title company or even a loan officer for that matter. I say this because Im sure they (the people who put this website together) would not like to see the people that pay their paychecks (the lenders or major title comps) put together a website together called BadSigningService dot com.........basically that is the same level of what they are doing.........

Geez, all the bashing of signing services and the often nasty, self serving comments by people on this site are likely largely responsible for the creation of the badnotary.com site.

I have a feeling the existence of that site will become known to all the signing services out there fairly rapidly, so they can help each other to avoid using bad signing agents or agents that sell and promote themselves as professional and experienced signing agents when they are rank amateurs that often have no clue about what they are doing.

Why should a SS wait for a bad one to destroy a good working relationship with an escrow officer? Now they can look for good ones here on notrot and cross reference to the other site before making a call.

One good thing about that particular post ...

for those that come here and claim that anyone that says they get their fees of $125-$200 are lying, while at the same time trying to tell others that $75 offers are good offers, the poster there proved that when we say we stick to our fees of $125-$200, we actually get it.

Trying to find a silver lining in what is sure to be a very ugly thing in the near future. Wink

As Marian points out in her post, there is a way to rate bad notaries, but, imo, that site isn't it. Not even close.

I'm hesitant to go back to that site at all because all of our curiosity clicks are just helping it get a higher ranking. Seems to me that could be a little bit self-defeating if our goal it to get that site taken down.

Re: Only 3- "WHO CARES WHAT THEY SAY" SS posting there

I have no problem with people knowing who I am or what I say. If they want to say something about me, go ahead, but they should at least be willing to put their name on it. Otherwise they don't seem very credible if they hide who they really are. Besides, I don't think a truly reputable signing or escrow company would care what shows up on something like Bad Notary. They would simply put that notary on a "do not call" list. Law suits are too rampant and a reputable company does not want to be tied up in any of it.
