Won't release pay
A signing service won't pay me till I submit filled out agreement,w9,certificate and e&o proof. I will send w9,e&o and notary certificate. Have any of you had this problem? This bothers me because they didn't ask for any of this beforehand.

I think that's normal. Most SS require this information up front.

Tell them to stick the contract where the sun don't shine.
Send them the W-9, and the certificate and e&o, too, if you wish.
As to the contract, you already HAVE a contract: It's the one they hired you under. They can't force you now to sign a different contract.

I agree with Hugh about the agreement. It's the other items that are pretty standard.

Often times if it's a new company all they care about is getting the job done and they ask for that stuff later. I don't see it as a problem.

I guess it would only be a problem if you did not like working with them and did not want to do further business with them. I had that happen to me with a certain company out of Florida. Was not informed up front that before I get paid I would have to send a bunch of paperwork to them. I was not happy about that at all but I did like my experience with the so I went ahead and send the necessary paperwork. I rate that in same category as holding "loan package" hostage until you get paid. Not cool!

Isn't this the same thing notarysigner
went through with US Certified? I believe his case went to court and James, notarysigner, won his case in court. Last I heard, however, SS has yet to pay him.
Court did uphold James' stance.
