the longest RM

I went to a RM signing way out in BFE the borrower was very nice well known in the community it took me 2 1/2 hours to have her sign 42 pages no notary stamp thank goodness. I learned alot from her she is a active broker she had her own lending company for 20 yrs, she is an active real estate board member she rescue animals etc. Yes i did take notes, she said if i need anything don't hesitate to ask. So you know i put her number in my phone.

you know any contact with her other than the signing is usually a breech of contract. I've met some great people myself, just sayin'

Re: the longest RM-Brac

How so? Are you saying that she cannot become friends or communicate with people after she signs them?
We would live in a pretty sterile world if that was the case......no one would be able to talk to anyone just about.......a lot of friendships are formed from business appts......

Re: the longest RM-Brac

I don't have any of the contracts in front of me, but I'm sure I've see that in a few. Of course I'm a bee keeper with a honey sign on the side of my truck. I'm sure I'm breaking contract when I sell someone a jar of honey.

in my area there's a lot of small towns and in those towns there are people who particularly built the town the gain the respect of the people, chambers, head of the police dept ,fire dept. to pass up an opportunity to net work and met there associates is like throwing away the golden ticket to willie wonkas chocolate factory lol i'm not trying to sell her anything, just trying to buy the knowledge and life experience.

Re: the longest RM-Brac

I believe what you have seen in contracts with companies is you are not to solicit the signer for other business while at the appt.......this is a no-no and goes without saying.......

La Trese, I would have done the same thing.....I cherish meeting experienced and knowledgeable people in this line of work.....do we exchange contact info~you bet your sweet patooty we do Big Smile I have gained many a relationship in this business both in the form of my colleagues and also the signers themselves and I am thankful for all of them......its what makes this biz the bomb to be in......

Really some great folks out there. The knowledge that will pass along with their generation is really a shame. I have sat and talked with folks for a couple hours after a signing is through. A great biz.

This thread overlooked what I think is an obvious question.

La Trese, are you a loan officer? Obviously, you were not signing a reverse mortgage; it sounds like you were taking an application. Isn't that a no-no nowadays for people who aren't loan officers?
