From a business experience CA State taxing agencies are more of a PITA to people/companies who do not pay their taxes, send 1099's, or W-2's. Their collection efforts are worse than the IRS. As the commercial says "Got Milk", well "got SS who don't pay their notaries, go here." Better yet, when the CA is finished with the companies, the CA taxing agencies turn them over to the IRS.

Hope all you unpaid notaries get paid, but the horse is
long gone of the barn and we know how these SS owners have blown their cash, it wasn't on paying their notaries. Fast cars, hot pads, hot boobs, exotic vacation destinations, and other frivolity.
These people have no intention of paying up fair and square! They people are selfish, greedy and despicable. But they do need to be investigated by the appropriate agencies, the ones I mentioned above as well as the county DA's office.
So vetting SS's is important...how to do that: Ask ??? We can no longer take these companies on face value. You might as well understand there is a greater chance of not getting paid these days because of the current economic conditions in the lending industry.

7) What is your previous business experience that qualifies you to be a signing service, serving the financial and title/escrow industries?

We are independent contractors. We cannot allow people to write contracts that are not in our best interest like the one that was posted here for SigningScream Inc.
Folks, you will not believe the number of new signing services that have surfaced in the last 12 months, and four at least are low pay, slow pay, NO PAY companies. We've seen two of them go belly up in the last 90 days. We've got to protect ourselves from these vultures. It's the biggest SCAMMNG of notaries I've ever seen in my Notary Career.
