Background checks required through NNA only.

So background checks from Lexisnexis is not acceptable anymore for most all lenders in CA effective Nov 1st. They are also requiring it to be through NNA. Geez NNA found a way to get our money and we can't do anything about it. Has anyone take the Recertification exam from NNA...what are your thoughts on it?

Took certification exam this past week when I requested my BGC. The exam was 45 questions - not timed. Very easy - all questions were multiple choice. I was done in 43 minutes. BGC and certification exam was $99.

HOLY JUMPING JEHOSEPHAT! ENOUGH! ENOUGH!

We not only have the same subject chewed over and over and over and spat out and then chewed again.

Now we have the SAME post on the SAME subject by the SAME poster in DIFFERENT threads.

Sherry, did you do us the courtesy of just skimming the posts for the past couple of days, to see if that topic had arisen? This is getting really depressing. Whoever invented the Chinese water torture could have taken lessons from the posters in this forum. I'm going to give it about another day, then I'm going to find better things to do, like going for a walk in the woods and looking for ticks on PeeBee the Platinum Blonde afterward.

certification AND counseling by nna (if offered, I'm In).

They now have something else to add to their list of premium services: Mental Health counseling for the weary NSA.

(Water torture <has> to be more endurable).

Mr Hugh...No need to be rude to me. Sorry I don't have time to read all the post everyday and stay on top of what everyone says here on this form. If I could delete the post...I would.

What he said was: you posted on same page, same Q, twice.

Surely you can glance at the page, just one little page, before jumping in. If you are that busy, then perhaps you should devote your time to what is demanding your attention.

Geez - now what am I supposed to do? run cover my head in sand blocking all thought except remorse.

Fat chance. Learn to deal with it. (I'm dieting, that's my excuse)

Nonsense

***No need to be rude to me. Sorry I don't have time to read all the post everyday and stay on top of what everyone says...***

You don't have to <read> every post, and you don't have to examine the posts <every day>, and you don't have to know what <every poster> has to say. It's easy: Just open up Notary Rotary and the Discuss Work forum, glance at the <headings> on the most recent posts, and BINGO! You know what people have been posting about. In the instant case, that's NNA background checks ad infinitum.

If you thought my response was rude, you definitely don't want to read any of my offerings when I'm tired, or hungry, or worse yet, constipated.

Which I'm fast getting as I try to digest all the background check chaff.

Bombarded this week with emails from signing services and title companies stating they will require all notaries "to have a Background Check from the National Notary Association. (MUST be by the National Notary Association ONLY)
Fidelity National Title and its sister companies are requiring all notaries contracted through us to have a current NNA background check CERTIFICATE".

I already have a background check from the National Verification Registry administered from Notary Rotary.

This seems absolutely RIDICULOUS! The NNA wants to make more money off of us even if we are unwilling to do so.

We've all been bombarded--by emails & posts here on the

forum. Everyone is tired of the subject at this point.
