Caution: New scheduler at HVR!

Careful everyone. Hector has resurrected HVR. No longer in BK, apparently. Will wonders ever cease! But instead of paying his notaries, Hector will be sure to pay Carlos and pocket the rest.... probably for his fun-filled Cancun vacations ... oh, and don't forget the Polo Club!

Don't be a victim. Tell Carlos straight up: No way.

Ok why has not local DA or State AG gone after

This guy, clearly theft by deception and since it crosses state lines could he not be brought up on Federal charges?

Anyone who is suspicious he or she may not be paid has the right to set contract terms with vendors. My suggestion is to create credit terms for the vendor of your choice (HVR?). I might say that the company is allowed only two outstanding unpaid notary signings. Until these are paid and the check is good, don't do any more signings for the company until he or she proves itself. This might be better than trying to collect a large amount of money from some vendors.

Great point, and thanks again for the time on the phone today Sue. I thought it was very knowledgeable and you seem very kind and I appreciate your advice. No one is forcing us to work with these companies. I think Sue makes a good point, say no until they pay you. Pretty simple advice.

Problem is only a small amount of people read this

Plus some who do don't use the tools provided and then ask where is my money.

True, but you can always get the escrow officer involved if they mess around with payment. No SS wants an unhappy escrow officer.

Re: Don't even advance HVR one closing

Chances of getting paid are less than zip if history is any indication. Insist on being paid up front. To do this successfully you need Square or one of the others where you can be paid by credit card over the phone or set up an account you don't mind giving out where he can transfer your payment before you go out on the closing. No more credit!

Why support them through advance payment?

Why keep them in business? this just encourages them to stiff others. JMHO

Ding Ding only a fool who reads or uses this forum

Would ever take a job from this company. Advance payments can always be recalled. Just a sign how desperate a notary would be for money (lack of money)

Re: Dear Ding Ding

You're thinking PayPal. If they give you a charge card number or wire it to your account they can not recall it. I agree with not even taking the job, but if you were to, NO credit.

they could put the email address for the DA form in

the "Notary Instructions". Email "[e-mail address]" to get the 1 page form the DA is using for the investigation of this company's no-pay policy. Heads up HVR--pay us and you could avoid all that pesky flak & backlash an investigation will do to your business!!
