HVR Notaries - Question
Has anyone who is owed money from them, filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office in Sacramento? They are no longer in San Diego but have moved to Chula Vista. Just curious. I have and was wondering if anyone else has and if so, any results? (I know, I know, I know, I didn't check them out until later - bad me!!!!)

They tried to fool us notaries on thinking that Sign Here Ink is another entity and totally seperated from HVR. I have a close notary friend that she received calls from SHI and the caller ID showed HVR!! She told me that that in previous months HVR called from that number and she registered on her phone as a call from HVR. Now they are calling saying that it's SHI and her phone shows HVR. Geeez at least be a little more careful about what numbers you are using to call notaries.

Re: So Sign Here Inc is really HVR? Do we know for sure?
I hate to say no if it's a different crew that took over the offices of HVR (now 75 days due).

"JJ" = J. J. Spivey
According to my records, 1/10/13 I received a response to an inquiry to HVR from a JJ Spivey.
I had worked with HVR twice in 2012 - upon recommendation from another notary here in the Sacramento area. She had mentioned Hector was rude but did pay. Guess I was fortunate and he did pay me for those 2 jobs.
When I contacted them early this year, it was to find out why I wasn't hearing from them any more. JJ Spivey responded: "We have files that pay notary's $90 & $100 your fee is $125."

Re: "JJ" = J. J. Spivey
I performed maybe four signings for HVR in 2012. One day Hector asked if I would work for $90 if he sent all his "volume" my way. What volume? You have only called me 4x. Then JJ started calling. I quit talking to HVR. Too busy with nicer companies. Hector likes to tell the story that he quit using me BC I made a mistake. What a crock of crap. Well Clem sweetpea I'm sorry you got shafted but happy it didn't happen to me.
All my apologies to those who got shafted. Now your eyes are wide open. 4/5 stars only.

ripoffreport.com file #1090011 and add your dates and $$'s owed. That's all you need to do because the initial complaint details the entire internet & wire fraud scenario being used to hire us notaries and then not pay us. To answer your question as to the Atty Gen to file a complaint, it would be best if we had information from several notaries to go with the complaint against HVR and all the named principals. Yes, it will happen. I rec'd an email from HVR telling me my details and information was not correct. Oh really? I do have it all in writing on their letterhead, sent to me via internet. Promises to pay repeatedly made to me. I just don't understand why these individuals have set themselves up for such risks, except the greed factor. Definitely names are being smeared around SanDiego, Chula Vista what I consider a suburb of the San Diego area.

Yes, Chula Vista is in San Diego County. I got a call earlier from JJ for a signing for tonight and he said that he has set up a separate company as of 3 weeks ago , but just used HVR's site as a template. His claim is that he was just an employee there. He's using a phone number that used to be one of the HVR after hours numbers, so maybe that's his personal cell. I'm already booked, so we didn't even go there.
Thanks for all your work on this, Darlin_AL!
