PDF conversion question

Does anyone know of a free program that converts a tif file to pdf? I googled it but the file I started to download started making all kinds of noise, so I figured it was spam and deleted it. Thanks for any ideas.

I've had good results with "Image to PDF Converter Free" from http://www.pdfarea.com/

I've only tried it for JPEG, not TIFF, but TIFF is on the list of supported file types.

One thing about this software that is a bit inconvenient is that it only gives good results if all the input files are the same size. So if you scan some legal size pages and some letter size pages, you'll want to convert all the legal size pages into one PDF file and the letter size ones into a different PDF file.

Just scan 'em all as legal size

Nobody's ever complained to me about that.

Re: Most "free" programs come with too many

ads and other unwanted stuff. Does your printer have a scanner? If so scan to png, open windows word (everyone except apple has it), drag the png file to word and save it as a pdf. If you get into the weeds pm me and I will try to help guide you through it.
