Split Closing Acknowledgments
Previous Notary notarized the signature of both borrowers. She didn’t eliminate my Borrower’s name. What will you do. Would you attach an APA notarizing the signature of your Borrower and let Escrow to decide if they want to use it ?

I'd call them & let them know about it. It isn't up to you
to correct another notary's work. Just do you part, including letting them know that the first notary didn't do it correctly.

I had the same thing happen last week...
.. on a DOT and the 1st notary also didn't write the date in. I called the TC to let them know and attached a post-it note to bring it to their attention.

Christine, what do you mean by POA?
I am only familiar with this acronym usage for Power of Attorney and I know that is not how you are using it in this instance.

If I hadn't already traveled to the appointment when I noticed the problem, I would contact my client and require a written confirmation that I will be paid my full fee regardless of whether the loan closes and is funded, on the grounds that the load has a higher-than-normal risk of being unsuccessful.
