When Cheryl started her tirades against ...
...ANS and its shady owner, I frankly attributed it to Cheryl being Cheryl: Just this week's cause d'jour.
However, I am impressed beyond all measure at her persistence, dedication, and effectiveness. She appears to be well on her way to bringing the miscreants to heel. It has been, and continues to be, a truly remarkable performance by a woman who apparently has made this a full-time job while holding down an actual full-time job. We as a profession owe her a big group hug for her efforts; as far as I know, I've never worked for these sleazebags, but if Cheryl's efforts pay off, we <all> will benefit.
Great job, Cheryl. You're a good man.

Why, thank you, Hugh. It's been said by many, I have more balls than most...
I just detest seeing people getting taken advantage of. Especially when our industry is in a downturn.
If you would all take up a collection, I've never been to Cancun, Baja. haha...and probably never will.

Re:What a great investigative job you have done and continue
to do. I am not owed any money from these thieves but most appreciate the work on your part to bring these people to justice. I hope to see scum like this get prosecuted and not just a slap on the wrists. I thank you again. By the way, instead of Baha, why not think of going to California just to watch them on the day they get sentenced?

I agree with you Hugh. Cheryl has done a fabulous job keeping her fellow notaries informed about these crooks. She has worked hard to point us all in the right direction so that we can report this to the proper authorities and go after the money that was owed to us. It is because of her tireless efforts this company was forced out of business never to take advantage of another notary again. It is also because of her efforts, these people won't be coming out of the woodwork to get us again. Good job Cheryl. (big hugs)

Have to say Ms. Cheryl (Ms. Columbo) has been tireless and diligent in exposing these folks. It's shameful when industry fellows get involved in something like this - and even flaunt it; and they need to wear the letters, "A N S" Stole from Hardworking Notaries (for shame).
Unfortunately, shame is akin to guilt, and nobody wants to be burdened with that anymore!
Just this spring, in VA 11 people were convicted in a mortgage fraud ring - and it was mostly covered up. Several companies were involved in perpetuating the fraud (http://www.fbi.gov/washingtondc/press-releases/2013/eleven-defendants-plead-guilty-to-federal-fraud-charges-related-to-annandale-business):
EPRO Technology Title One Pacific Realty Prime Realty and Investment Nations Title and Escrow Providence Title Potomac F&I Washington Financial and Investment Washington Settlement Group Washington Food & Supply of D.C. Inc.
Shame on them for giving Settlement Services a bad name.
p.s. Cheryl, I KNOW these guys wouldn't have had a chance with you on the case. Hope you keep your "trench coat" handy in case you're needed to help prosecute more fraudsters

Cari, providing a post # would be virtually
impossible - it has been ongoing for some time with multiple posts...
Your best bet? Search here for
ANS Accurate National Signings Kirkish docgirl
There was another name involved..can't remember it though ...who posted here in defense of ANS. But, bottom line, the above key words should bring up a wealth of reading to catch you up. Make sure you have meals, snacks and drinks handy - you're in for a long read.

Yes, great job, Cheryl. There are so many crooks in the
mtg. biz & you helped us know about these folks. Maybe your next profession can be as a Private Detective. ;-)

Big kudos to you Cheryl! Thank you so much for keeping me (and all the notaries who did not get paid) in the loop about Amanda and ANS. I will definitely let you and the good folks here at NR know what happens regarding my payment or in the alternative what happens with the Riverside DA. You can count on that! Aloha!
