Any ideas on this one?
I had a signing with PenFed today (my first one and 2 others also scheduled for this week); one was for 3:00 and was told they sent docs at 2:10pm. I have received all of my emails however no docs. I received 3 confirmations from them but no docs. B had a window of 1 hour to close and I'm 30 min away. They said they are giving it to someone else because obviously I can't receive docs. I've been doing this for 10 years and never had this problem. I can't believe I am losing the business from this company because there docs did not come through. I checked spam and again, my other emails are coming through ... anyone ever have this happen?

Are you using Yahoo? I've had all sorts of problems with it lately.

Maybe they shopped around and found someone less pricey and using "no docs received" as an excuse .......... ???

1. Did you verify the email to which the docs were sent? It is possible that docs were sent to another notary.
2. It is a good practice to have 2 email accounts so that docs can be sent to both. Sometimes it takes much longer to get to one email than to the other.

Third and fourth ideas tacked onto Art's
Do they have a special program you need (like SwiftView, etc) for printing? That info should be in your confirmation.
Or did they upload them to their website and you have to retrieve them?

Yes, this has happened to me and it is one of the most frustrating things that does happen to one. I now use 2 email addresses simultaneously as another suggested as delivery times can vary. I have Bellsouth but added a Gmail account and now I always get either both or one or the other, but I don't worry any more.
So sorry for you today.

I have two email accounts a Hotmail and gmail. if one doesn't work have them send to the other. If it still doesn't arrive it's their problem not yours. Sorry you lost the buz.

I had this one happen some time ago and I did get the email thru my Gmail acct. which I rarely used. I figured it must have been a glitch in my main server (RR). Because the next day ALL those emails flowed into my inbox.. They just got stuck in La-La Land.. It was very strange. I looked at the time stamps "Sent" showed correct time for closing, but "Received" showed next freaking day. Beware People is does happen..

Re: Any ideas on this one? UPDATED ...
Thanks everyone! You all had great responses and suggestions which I am definitely going to incorporate ....
Ana, you were right, it was Gmail and that's the only email I have (until tomorrow) ... as it turns out I was able to do the signing an hour late and got the docs for the one tomorrow so I don't think they have given up on me ... in fact, they emailed me it was probably gmail because someone else was having the same issue.
Thanks everyone! I appreciate it all your responses and will be taking your suggestions! It was a very stressful afternoon ... think i have more grey hairs (and i just colored it this morning!) dang!

I had problems receiving docs from one of their offices
(Potomac Falls, I think). Otherwise, I've never had a problem getting their docs. BTW, I did a lot of work for them under one of their other names.

Yes it happens. But, it is usually an email server problem, so having a backup email is a good idea. Also, as someone mentioned, many of these files are getting huge, which can put a cork in the email server... just occasionally, but if you do this long enough almost everything that can go wrong eventually will go wrong...
