Green Recycling Question

Over the years I have collected a lot of notary seals, usually four for every four year term I've been a notary for the last 12 years...heavy use of notary seal causes them to wear out. So Question: Even though I've destroyed the little rubber impression of my notary commission information, I'm still left wih all these plastic cases, and I'm wondering if there isn't some place that would take these to reuse.

I hate throwing plastic away, where can it end up but in our landfills. You could burn them, but the carcinogens would end up in our atmosphere.

Any ideas?

Yes, we have recycling centers for plastic, paper and glass. I'm talking about reusing our notary seal cases.

Isn't there a resource for recycling these back into use?

Don't bug me about my used cabernet wine bottles either...I was driving them into the ground for a garden walk way...but I've been busy lately.

Rubber stamp companies sometimes recycle

At a quick search, I found Rubberstamps.net that advertises recycling. By the way, they also produce notary stamps - just not for California.

Harry: Does (or will) Notary Rotary recycle?

I am thinking from a business point of view, it is cheaper to buy these cases from China @ .05 each new then mess with a used one people send back to them to clean up and put a new stamp in. (if that is what you are referring to doing). The spring breaks, and what a nightmare sending new stamps out because they reused old cases. No way could they ever warranty these stamps. Myself, I would not be happy with someones "used" stamp case and pitch a fit. Take out your rubber seal and deposit the plastic case in the recycle bin to get melted own and reused for mass production elsewhere.
