I stopped dealing with them a long time ago. They always sweetly ask for "favors", as in "can you do us a favor and handle this closing". And then when you don't get paid, you realize it really was a "favor".
They would not pay me unless I sent them an invoice at the end of the month.
The check would not match the invoice.
I could not figure out which jobs were shorted and which jobs were stiffed.
I would call accounting, and they were confused too.
They would promise to send the missing money on the next check, and then IT would have stiffs and shorts too, which made the next check even more of a mess.
And so on, ad infinitum.
Can't they just do me a "favor" and pay me for the jobs I did?
I just got tired of the whole mess.
