Picky Provident, 3rd time is the charm - I hope
Down to a few docs that they still they don't like the way they look (the dates are "sloppy"). I've read here on NR that these guys are nuts, I don't do many and may shy away from them in the future. But, it's hard to turn down business these days even if it is a PITA.

I turn down Provident. By the time you are done with their PITA crap you are making less than minimum wage. They need to do their own signings. Try that Provident. LOL

You have read the forum, seen the reviews most of us who have worked with them most likely won't do it again. Trip 3, so now you are working for free twice and now you might as well pay them $100 bucks. If it does not fund on time it falls on you.

Re: Pay them $100??? Good idea.
Why didn't I think of that? It would be cheaper. Actually, I got paid some on the second time out in addition to the first closing since not with standing various loud allegations it wasn't the dumb NSA's fault. Sloppy dates on a few docs - maybe? Didn't notice any problems at the closing and have never had docs come back on sloppy dates. Sometimes we all write the date wrong and go over it to make it correct - not noticeable. If it is too messy I may have them sign their copy, but doesn't happen too often. I feel bad for the BO, this loan took a long time and now the closing is taking even more time than it should. At some point, the BO could get pissed.

Listen up Provident, we are notaries, not penmanship police.
Signatures / dates are bound to vary somewhat, especially after so many documents are signed. They are morons.......who runs runs that company????? A robot???? Any human being with an iq higher than their shoe size realizes there are variations in signatures and dates after so many documents are signed. UGHHHHHH .

What does provident do with a squiggle for a signature? If it matches the squiggle on the drivers license are they good with that?

Re: A squiggle here, a squiggle there
if it's notarized - it's fair.

Wonder how much the employee who scrutinizes the signatures is being paid. What's the job description?
